On February 8, 2010, MTV debuted a new logo, for the first time altering the basic structure of the logo on a permanent basis. The tagline "Music Television" was eliminated because many programs on the networks are not about music.
MTV将标志作为一个平台，展示不同的内容，使标志应用更显丰富多彩。
老标志从1981年开始使用了将近30年时间。
